Katie Bouman is Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Electrical Engineering, and Astronomy at Caltech. Her research focuses on computational imaging and inverse problems, drawing on signal processing, computer vision, machine learning, and physics to identify and exploit hidden signals in data. Professor Bouman contributed to the capture of the first ever image of a black hole.
