Sam is a patent partner at Fearn. Previously, Sam drafted and prosecuted patents at both Morrison Foerster, and Mintz, two of the world’s premier law firms for patent strategy and intellectual property. Sam’s previous clients include top Fortune companies and leading research universities, across pharma and biotech.

Sam received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego and the Salk Institute, where his PhD thesis focused on immunometabolism and infectious disease. Sam has published in the top life sciences journals, including Cell, Cell Systems, and Cell Reports. Sam holds a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota.
